What we collect
When you join the Cohort Zero waitlist, we collect the details you enter in the form: first name, last name, email address, country, age, and what brings you here. If you choose Something else, we also collect the short explanation you write.
We also store the waitlist page and button placement you used, your consent version, timestamps for signup, confirmation, and unsubscribe actions, and limited campaign source fields from the page URL: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, and utm_term.
For security and abuse prevention, the site may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, request time, and a hidden anti-spam field. The waitlist uses hashed IP and email subjects for expiring rate-limit counters.
How we use it
We use the waitlist information to send the confirmation email, manage your double opt-in status, send Cohort Zero launch updates after confirmation, understand which campaign links are working, prevent abuse, and respond to privacy or support requests.
Where privacy law asks for a legal basis, the waitlist email basis is your consent. Operational and security processing supports running and protecting the waitlist, keeping confirmation and unsubscribe records, and answering requests.
Joining the waitlist is not an application for membership. We do not use the waitlist form for automated membership decisions or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Service providers
We use Neon to store the waitlist database, including confirmation and unsubscribe token hashes. We use Resend to send confirmation emails and later waitlist updates. We use Vercel to host the site and process web requests. If you email us, the message may be handled in Google Workspace.
We do not sell waitlist data. We do not share it with marketing partners for their own campaigns.
Where data may be processed
The company is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States, Europe, and other places where they operate. We do not claim that waitlist data stays only in the European Union.
How long we keep it
We have not set a fixed deletion schedule for waitlist records yet. We keep waitlist records while the Cohort Zero waitlist and launch-update process is active, and after that while needed to handle unsubscribe records, deletion requests, security, and legal or accounting obligations.
Rate-limit counters have expiry timestamps and are deleted opportunistically after the relevant window expires.
Pending confirmation links expire after seven days. Unsubscribing stops launch-update emails and records that you unsubscribed. It does not automatically delete every related record. You can ask us to delete your data by email.
Your choices
Submitting the form asks us to send one confirmation email. Clicking the confirmation link completes your consent to receive Cohort Zero updates. You can withdraw that consent by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us.
You can also contact us to ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where those rights apply. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
